In his role as Chief Estimator, Tom strives to provide accurate, comprehensive, and timely responses to our customer’s Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Tom reviews drawings and specifications and is responsible for identifying the specific needs of each project. He maintains close relationships with suppliers and contractors, in order to foster a collaborative dynamic which helps ensure each project is executed successfully.
Tom draws upon a more than three-decade career in the electrical contracting industry, providing him deep insight into how estimates reflect constructability and feasibility.
Tom first entered the industry by helping out at his family’s electrical contracting business, learning the basics of the trade at a young age. After college, he went on to work for some of New Jersey’s most respected contractors, honing his knowledge and passion for estimating, before joining Forest Electric New Jersey. Tom has worked in virtually every aspect of the business—from accounting and sales to purchasing and project management—and has experience in a range of disciplines, including large scale utility, critical operations, pharmaceutical, and healthcare construction.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Tampa and has studied at various trade schools learning electrical theory and project management. Tom is a licensed Electrical Contractor in the State of New Jersey.
The Personal Side
Tom and his wife have four children. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching youth sports.
