Goldman Sachs selected Forest Electric New Jersey (Forest NJ) to design and install structured cabling at their new colo location in Edison, NJ. We had several years of prior experience performing IT data services for Goldman Sachs, and we built the original I/O data center in Edison. We were able to leverage our familiarity with their policies, procedures, and the site to successfully produce, install, and perform the upgrades.

Client Objectives

Goldman Sachs sought to diversify and relocate certain data center operations from their two New Jersey data centers to one colocation data center in Edison.

Scope of Services

Forest NJ provided and installed fiber cable and copper wiring and also:

  • Furnished and installed OS2 and OM4 fiber cable 12-to-144-strand fiber, which connected meet-me room (MMR) one to meet-me room two, MMRs to data mods, and data mods to data mods
  • Connected 100-pair copper and Cat 6 to various office locations
  • Performed fusion splicing and testing
