Teleglobe NEWARK, NEW JERSEY
Forest NJ built out 15,000 s.f. on the 11th floor at 165 Halsey Street (the former John Wanamaker Building) in Newark, where Teleglobe had offices on the same floor. Forest provided general power and lighting, as well as a security system for Teleglobe’s network installation. The work was completed in service to Tishman Technologies, the general contractor.
The client wanted to meet their five year data infrastructure initiative, called GlobeSystem, by building out a data center in their existing office.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Forest’s scope of work included bringing 3,000 amps of electrical service to the Teleglobe space on the 11th floor. To accomplish this, we ran five risers from the basement across the ninth floor and then up to the 11th floor, and 25 conduits from the 11th floor to a new two megawatt generator and new chillers on the rooftop.
Forest, using their wealth of experience in building out data centers, finished this job on time and on budget, allowing Teleglobe to work towards meeting their data infrastructure goals.
