Client Objectives

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset had been experiencing major operational disruptions due to a single point of failure MV switch. They wanted to upgrade the system and ensure that the electrical power would no longer be at risk of failure.  

Solutions

Forest NJ provided end-to-end electrical services as part of the system upgrade, including: 

  • Identified and removed single point of failure MV switch
  • Installed three MV switches to ensure effective electrical load distribution
  • Installed new feeders from exterior distribution to refeed the existing electrical infrastructure

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital has campuses in Jersey City, New Brunswick, and Somerville. It serves as a flagship hospital of RWJ Barnabas Health, a network of independent healthcare providers across New Jersey.
