Value Delivered
As part of major renovations on their Rahway, New Jersey campus, Merck was constructing a three-story visitor center. The new building included open space for meetings on the upper floors, greater parking availability, and state-of-the-art security. An all-glass bridge was also built, connecting the center to an adjacent building, which featured a specialized multi-color lighting system designed to reflect various hues of light throughout the glass structure.
By leveraging our building information modeling expertise, Forest Electric New Jersey seamlessly coordinated all required electrical work with other trades. We also performed a substantial amount of the work in our own prefabrication shop. To help maintain a lean project, we arranged for select materials to ship in advance.
Additionally, we unpacked materials at our own location and labeled them by room numbers and areas, for just-in-time site delivery. This helped to minimize on-site waste and increase the overall safety of the project.
