Leveraging our assisted home facilities expertise, our team performed general contracting, provided I.T. solutions, and assisted with schedule coordination. We completed the project ahead of schedule, and at reduced cost.

Client Objectives

New Jersey Department of Veterans’ Affairs sought to upgrade the nurse call systems at all three of the state’s veterans’ homes for better patient service.

Solutions

Forest NJ furnished and installed turnkey nurse call system upgrades at all three veterans’ homes, each with over 300 beds.

Our scope of services included:

  • Removing existing nurse call systems and associated wiring
  • Furnishing and installing 30,000 feet of all-new, CAT 6 premium cabling for each location
  • Furnishing and installing approximately 4,000 feet of six-strand single-mode plenum fiber per home
  • Installing new nurse call systems—each location including:
    • Six nurse call touch screens
    • 30 patient stations
    • 250 dual patient stations
    • 250 lavatory stations
    • 70 staff stations
    • 250 dome lights
    • Buildouts for six main distribution/intermediate distribution frame rooms
    • Eight fiber panels
