Value Delivered
To provide new executive office space as part of their facilities’ relocation from Kenilworth, NJ to Rahway, NJ, Merck renovated an existing historic three-story building. For this design-build-assist project, Forest Electric New Jersey (Forest NJ) applied our building information modeling expertise to coordinate our electrical fit-out services with the infrastructure electrical contractor.
We performed a substantial amount of our work in our own prefabrication shop. We added significant value to the project by delivering modular inner wall wiring and prefabrication for home run assemblies, electrical closets, lighting controls, and security and fire alarm.
To help maintain a lean project, we arranged for select materials to ship in advance, and unpacked and disposed of all packing materials at our warehouse. We then sorted materials into gang boxes for just-in-time site delivery. This helped to minimize on-site waste and increase the overall safety of the project.
