Forest Electric New Jersey (Forest NJ) led the BIM coordination for this combined demolition/renovation project, ultimately delivering a new 276,000-square-foot office building for a confidential pharmaceutical client. Utilizing lean construction principles and leveraging its fabrication shop, Forest NJ was able to reduce onsite waste and minimize manpower.
Client Objectives
The client needed to support their growing operations with additional office space. They wanted to partially demolish and partially renovate an existing building in order to accomplish this goal.
Solutions
During the project, Forest NJ provided extensive electrical services, including:
- Design and installation of all power and lighting/lighting controls throughout office and all open spaces
- Design and installation of all audio/visual components
- Installation of new electrical panels
- Installation of fire alarm system
- Design and construction of multiple facilities, including atrium, cafeteria, conference rooms, gymnasium, and mail room
- Design and installation of raceway for data communications
- Design and installation of multiple roof top units (RTUs)
